No Monkey-Business at the House of Commons!
STAFF from C&C Training paid a special visit to a reception at the House of Commons as guests of children’s charity KidsOut.
C&C Training raised money before Christmas for 15 toy boxes for disadvantaged children and, after a successful campaign, decided to make it their charity of the year for 2014.
Director Ruth Crothers, along with Marketing Executive Sarah Holmes, joined fellow fundraisers and volunteers in the architectural splendour of the State Rooms in the Speakers House at The Commons.
South West Bedfordshire MP Andrew Selous was there to greet all who attended, including Ruth and Sarah, and said he would be happy to attend the company’s Leighton Buzzard-based premises off Grovebury Road, after its expansion later this year.
Meanwhile, there is no monkeying around with C&C’s fundraising campaign as once again they will be asking all who attend its courses at its training centres in Leighton and Suffolk to give generously to the charity by purchasing little brown furry monkeys! Cheeky they know! But all funds go to KidsOut.
Director Ruth said: “It was great to be invited to such a special venue, and especially to know that KidsOut appreciate our fundraising. It is a fantastic charity and one we will continue to support wholeheartedly.”
