A 10-week Consultation period into proposals to revise the Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2007, launched earlier this year, has just drawn to a close.
All those from the construction industry were invited to respond and it was hoped the main proposals would make the regulations easier to understand.
Changes proposed included:
The proposals were of interest to all aspects of the construction industry (including householders as clients), designers, principal contractors, contractors, sub-contractors, including the self-employed, CDM co-ordinators, safety representatives, plus anyone with an interest in construction projects.
The results of the consultation are eagerly awaited.
