The course starts by diving into the fundamental concepts of struck-by hazards on construction sites, their prevalence, and the importance of recognizing them to ensure safety.
You will then get to review various types of struck-by hazards and examples.
Nearly all struck by injuries are preventable. You will get to review protective measures, safe work practices, and the use of personal protective equipment to prevent struck-by injuries on the job site.
Finally, you will learn about the responsibilities that employers must protect workers from struck-by hazards, the necessary training requirements.
You will learn that when employers follow all of this guidance for protecting workers from Struck-By hazards, workers are much less likely to sustain a workplace injury.
This course is aimed at anyone working in the construction industry, particularly those on busy sites or the supervisors and managers who will need to understand.
