Course Objectives:

As stated within the Health & Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and the Management of Health & Safety at Work Regulations 1999, any manager who is appointed to control health and safety issues must be ‘suitably and sufficiently trained’. The NEBOSH National General Certificate is an examined basic level qualification designed to provide this necessary knowledge and understanding of health & safety.

Who Should Attend?

Directors, Managers, Supervisors, Team Leaders or Safety Representatives who play a significant role within the management of organisational health & safety.

Course Content:

The syllabus is divided into 2 units:

Testing:

Testing is completed in two stages: NG1 is via access to an Open Book Examination Portal with questions based on a Safety Scenario the delegate will demonstrate their knowledge of how to apply the relevant regulations and safety measures required to mitigate the scenario. NG2 is to conduct an unaided workplace safety inspection which outlines 10 workplace hazards from a minimum of 5 hazard categories, with the delegate outlining control measures to reduce the risk so far as reasonably practicable.

To achieve this qualification delegates must pass both elements NG1 & NG2.
