N204 Forward Tipping Dumper Experienced Worker Test (EWT)

Course Objectives:

At the end of this course, delegates will be able to answer questions on and perform the following:

• Understand the industry, the dangers of working in the industry, and the responsibilities of the operator.
• Know the manufacturer's handbook for the particular machine to be used.
• Identify and explain the functions of the major components of the machine.
• Identify and explain the functions of key controls.
• Identify and maintain PPE appropriate for forward tipping dumper use.
• Conduct all pre-operational checks in accordance with manufacturers and legislative requirements.
• Prepare the forward tipping dumper for use and operate it safely and efficiently.
• Conduct all necessary safety checks at the work area.
• Attach and set trailers, ready for operation.
• Understand environmental considerations.
• Storage and transport of implements and attachments.
• Carry out all end of shift and shut down procedures.

Duration: 1 Day

Delegate Numbers:

Max of 6 delegates per course.

Certification:

On successful completion of the course, delegates will receive an NPORS card valid for 5 years, after which a refresher course or Experienced Worker Tests (EWT’s) can be undertaken.
