N133 Plant Machinery Marshal Experienced Worker Tests (EWT)

Course Objectives:

At the end of this course, delegates will be able to answer questions on and perform the following:

• Understand the industry, its dangers, and their responsibilities as a vehicle/plant machinery marshal.
• Have a working knowledge of the manufacturer’s handbook for the vehicle/machine to be guided.
• Understand signs, signals, approved hand signals, and different forms of communication.
• Identify & maintain PPE appropriate for a vehicle/plant machinery marshal.
• Conduct all necessary safety checks at the work area, including stop blocks & tipping areas.
• Set up exclusion zones for loading/unloading.
• Guide machinery in a forward & reverse direction, including confined spaces & ‘blind areas’ safely & efficiently.
• Understand environmental considerations.
• Carry out all end-of-shift & shutdown procedures.

Delegate Numbers: Max of 6 per course

Certification:

On successful completion of the course, delegates will receive an NPORS card valid for 5 years. A refresher course can be undertaken after that.
