Course Objectives:
At the end of this course, delegates will be able to answer questions on and perform the following:
- Have a basic understanding of the industry, the dangers of working in the industry & their responsibilities as an operator.
- Have a working knowledge of the manufacturers handbook for the particular machine to be used.
- Be able to locate & identify the major components of the machine & explain their function.
- Be able to locate & identify key controls & explain their function.
- Conduct all pre-operational checks in accordance with manufacturers & legislative requirements.
- Identify & maintain PPE appropriate for plant mover use.
- Prepare machinery for use & operate safely & efficiently.
- Conduct all necessary safety checks at the work area.
- Consider environmental factors related to plant mover use.
- Understand storage & transport of machinery attachments.
- Demonstrate knowledge & understanding of loading & unloading procedures for machine transportation.
- Carry out all end-of-shift & shutdown procedures.

Delegate Numbers: Max of 18 per course
Certification:
On successful completion of the course, delegates will receive an NPORS card valid for 5 years. A refresher course can be undertaken after that.
