Online Silica Awareness
Course Objectives
This course has been designed to raise awareness and develop the knowledge of employees on the hazards and risks posed by Silica containing materials within the everyday working environment. And to provide an overview of the legislative and guidance measures in place to safeguard themselves and others affected by work activities.
Who should attend?
There are no specific entry requirements to attend this course, it is however designed for all persons who work with silica materials. On successful completion of the course, delegates will be issued with a C&C Training Certificate of Attendance.

- Have an increased awareness of the nature and properties of Silica and its effects on health
- Be familiar with type of materials that contain silica
- Know how to avoid the risks from silica
- Have an increased awareness of the nature and properties of silica and its effects on health
- How to use appropriate workplace precautions
- Undertake work activities in a safe manner
Delivery:
Delivered via Microsift Teams video technology, the training follows the same content as the classroom course and is delivered to the same standard. The same assessment takes place but via our secure online assessment technology or by oral assessment.
