Course Objectives
The Utility Safety Health and Environment Awareness portfolio of schemes have been developed in conjunction with industry to provide a uniform approach to Health, Safety & Environmental Awareness training across the utilities sector.
Workshop Content
The course is split into 13 modules – 8 of which are mandatory core modules common to all utility industries as follows:
- Your responsibilities
- Risk assessment
- Workplace Procedures
- Physical hazards (Part 1)
- Physical hazards (Part 2)
- Hazards to health (Part 1)
- Hazards to health (Part 2)
- The Environment
The additional modules can be taken dependant on the delegates job role and are as follows:
A) Waste Collection: Drivers
B) Waste Collection: Operative
C) Working in the Highway
D) Welding & NDT
E) Advanced Environment
F) AGI Working Environment
G) Excavations
H) Hygiene & Health
I) Sewerage Network
J) Process Operations
On successful completion of the course, delegates will receive a EUSR SHEA (Water) Card that is valid for 3 years.

This course is designed for all persons involved in the operational activities of the water industry who require access to sites.
