EUSR SHEA Gas
Course Objectives
The Utility Safety Health and Environment Awareness (SHEA) portfolio of schemes have been developed in conjunction with industry to provide a uniform approach to health, safety and environmental awareness training across the utilities sector, in line with the Health & Safety Executives guidelines.
Workshop Content
This course comprises of eight core modules as follows:
- Your responsibilities on site, including hazard spotting
- Risk Assessments
- Work place procedures
- Parts 1 & 2 – Physical Hazards
- Parts 1 & 2 – Hazards to Health
- Environment
In addition, there are four modules specific to the Gas industry as follows:
- Pressure Regulating Installations
- Safety in Premises
- Working in the Highway
- Excavations
It is designed to provide on-site evidence that an individual has demonstrated an appropriate level of knowledge and awareness.
On successful completion of the course delegates will receive a EUSR Utility SHEA (Gas) card, which expires three years from the date of the training.
Who Should Attend?
The gas scheme is designed for all persons involved in the operational activities of the gas industry.
