CITB has been reviewing its operations in order to deliver on its core purpose as efficiently as possible and this review included CITB’s Cskills Awards. CITB has signed an agreement to sell the Cskills Awards business. The business has been sold to another industry leading awarding body. The regulators have been informed about this change of ownership, and as part of the sale, CITB for Cskills Awards will transfer to NOCN.
NOCN has been a successful awarding body for 30 years, working in a range of sectors, including the construction industry. It has developed into one of the major Awarding Organisations in the UK and is recognised by various UK qualification regulators. It is also as Government approved Apprentice Assessment Organisation to undertake End Point Assessment for the new reformed Apprenticeship Standards.
The sale represents further reform of the CITB, which will no longer offer certificates and qualifications. Cskills Awards will continue to provide services as before under the new ownership.
On completion of the sale on 1st August, 24 Cskills Awards staff will transfer to NOCN.
