As a member of UKATA, C&C are joining forces with them to show their support for the HSE’s #Dustbuster campaign by delivering Train to Face Fit courses at our Centres this month. It’s good to know the benefit of this training will spread much further than those who received it.
According to the most recent annual HSE statistics, over 5000 people die from an asbestos related disease each year. 20% of all occupational lung disease deaths are asbestos-related lung cancers and a further 20% are mesothelioma deaths.
HSE inspectors will be visiting construction sites across Great Britain to see if businesses have measures in place to protect their workers’ lungs from the likes of asbestos, silica and wood dust. They will specifically be looking for evidence of construction workers knowing the risk, planning their work and using the right controls. Click here to find out more about the HSE Dustbuster campaign
