IOSH Working Safely course is now being recognised as an equivalent to a Level 1 Award in health and safety in a construction environment.
This means that delegates who successfully complete Working Safely can apply for a Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) green Labourer card once they have also passed the CITB Health, Safety and Environment Operative (touch-screen) test.
IOSH has been working closely with CSCS over the past five months to achieve this recognition, bringing Working Safely in line with CSCS new national occupational standard.
This gives those working in the construction industry two options to qualify for a green card through the courses offered by C&C Training.
Firstly, the CSKills Health and Safety Awareness is still the most popular, and greatly recognised way to achieve the card offered at C&C Training through a public one-day course.
You can also attend an IOSH Working Safely course, however, C&C Training only offer this as a closed course so would be more suited for companies requiring a number of its workforce to attend.
